CLUBBERZ GUIDE TO ECONOMIC CLUBBING ALONG MOHAMED SULTAN ROAD
Mohamed Sultan Road, home of the adult clubbers in Singapore. Along this stretch of road sits reputable clubs like Madam Wong's, Nox, Eden, Amoeba, Sugar, Hardlanders and Samsara. As you walk along the road, you will notice many 'kopitiams'. However these 'kopitiams' do not serve beers and liquor, they are only good if you want to escape from the noise and catch up with your friends over a cup of coffee for awhile. For clubbers on a low budget...what do you do? Observe carefully...At the mouth of Mohamed Sultan Road across the street, there is an Indian minimart (opened till 12 midnight). Experienced clubbers normally buy some of their drinks here to kick things off for the night. This minimart sells quite a wide range of beers and ciders at dirt cheap prices. Another thing you should realise is that most clubs along this stretch of road hold happy hour promotions to pull the early birds in, and this takes place around 8pm to 9pm. It does not end here...These clubs also hold other happy hour promotions around 11pm - 1am and the reason is simple...because around this time, most clubbers are already glued to the music and are drifting in their own worlds. Models and celebrities also make their grand entrance at some of the clubs around this time. Would they leave the joint? No. They need to maintain that adequate amount of alcohol in their bodies to keep them going. That's when the business come in for the clubs...
